Alone in New York on business, Benjamin Thorpe, a successful, married Los Angeles architect, spends the night in a search for female companionship, a quest that leads to a confrontation in a midtown bordello and his involvement in the murder of a young prostitute, a crime in which Thorpe suddenly finds himself a prime suspect.
